DESCRIPTION:RSVP by APRIL 1\, 2017\n\n\n\nEPA's Lead Renovation\, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation\, repair\, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes\, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by Georgia EPD for work conducted in Georgia\, use certified renovators who are trained by EPD-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices.\n\n\n\nThe RRP class will cover the following:\n\n\n\n Why should I be concerned about lead paint?\n\n Regulations\n\n Before beginning work\n\n Contain dust during work\n\n Cleaning activities and checking your work\n\n Recordkeeping\n\n Training non-certified renovation workers\n\n Hands-on Activities to clearly demonstrate how to set up job\n\n Exam at the end of the day. Students must score at least 70% to receive certification\n\n\n\nThe class is scheduled from 8:00am-5:00pm.\n\n\n\nPlease keep in mind that taking the training class is only Step 1. Students must register with GA EPD and pay a fee for registration. The company must also be registered with GA EPD and registration fee paid. Please visit http://epd.georgia.gov/lead-based-paint-technical-guidance for additional details.\n\n\n\nFee per student: $250.00 (AAHBA Members) or $300.00 for non-members\n\n\n\nMust have at least 4 students to hold class.\n\n\n\nLecture and exam are not limited to the number of students\, but the hands on activity is limited to 8 at one time. If the class has more than 8 attendees\, we can plan to stay later to accommodate 8 students at a time for hands on activity or schedule for another day.\n\n\n\nAttendees must have government issued photo identification to take class.
